Summer 2021 Northern College Tour Itinerary 

Day One: Monday, August 9, 2021

6:45  a.m   Arrive at Regents Garage and Prepare to board the bus

7:00 a.m.  Depart University of Maryland – Regents Garage College Park, MD 20742

(The bus must leave on time to make our first tour at 10:00 a.m.)

9:45 a.m. Arrive Temple University

Conwell Hall, 1801 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19122

10:00 a.m. Temple University Tour

11:30 a.m. Depart Temple University 

12:30 p.m.  Lunch around University of Pennsylvania Area

(Stay with chaperone)

2:00  p.m. Arrive for a self-guided tour– University of Pennsylvania

Admissions Visitor Center, Claudia Cohen Hall, Ground Floor, 249 S. 36th St. Philadelphia, PA 19104

3:30 p.m.   Depart U of Penn for New York

5:30 p.m. Arrive at Westin Hotel Times Square

270 W 43rd St., New York, NY 10036 

Dinner with Chaperone in the hotel area

9:00 p.m. Meet for Group Photo at the Red Steps
Times Square- Corner Broadway and 46th St. (Look for McDonald’s)

Stay with your group- (Sightseeing, purchase snacks, souvenirs, etc. before returning to the Westin Hotel)

11:00 p.m.        *CURFEW* LIGHTS OUT/ROOM CHECK 

There will be several checks throughout the night-stay in your room. If you need anything contact your assigned Chaperone.

Day Two: Tuesday, August 10, 2021

8:00 a.m. Rise & Shine

*Breakfast – On Your Own

9:30 a.m.  Depart Hotel, walk to Top View Double Decker

10:30 a.m.       Arrive- Columbia University (via Top View Double Decker Bus – Hop-on Hop-off)

Visitors Center, 213 Low Library, 535 W 116th St. New York, NY 10027

11:00 a.m. Columbia University Tour

12:00 p.m. Depart Columbia University

1:00 p.m.          Lunch on your own - Tour Uptown Route (Harlem, Museum Mile, Central Park,etc.)

4:00 p.m. **PLEASE BE SURE TO KEEP YOUR TICKET, YOU WILL NEED IT AGAIN TO TOUR THE NEXT 2 DAYS**

6:00 p.m.         Dinner on your own

7:30 p.m.  to    Depart for (8:00 p.m.) night tour Hop-on 

9:30 p.m.         Stay with your chaperone when boarding the bus.  We may have to get on different buses depending on the available seats.  

10:00 p.m.       Groups Return to Hotel       

11:00 p.m.        *CURFEW* LIGHTS OUT/ROOM CHECKS 

Day Three: Wednesday, August 11, 2021

8:00 a.m. Rise & Shine Breakfast – On Your Own

10:00 a.m.  Depart Westin Hotel (via Top View)

11:00 a.m.       Arrive - New York University (NYU) 

Bonomi Family Admissions Center, 27 W Fourth St., New York, NY 10003

11:30 a.m. NYU Self-Guided Tour 

 12:30 p.m. Depart NYU 

1 p.m. - 4p.m. Top View Double Decker Bus Tour-Hop on for the Liberty Cruise at 3:00 p,m. (Statue of Liberty)

After the cruise Hop- on the bus back to the hotel.

7:00 p.m.         Depart for  Empire State Building

Stay with your group- (Sightseeing, purchase snacks, souvenirs, etc. before returning to the Westin Hotel)

                         or

                        Director’s Outing- Please check with your Chaperone 

11:00 p.m.       *CURFEW* LIGHTS OUT/ROOM CHECK 

Day Four: Thursday, August 12, 2021

9:00 a.m. Rise & Shine

Breakfast – On Your Own

10:00 a.m.  Depart Westin Hotel (via Top View)

Visit optional Colleges:  FIT, PACE, PRATT

OR

                        Top View Double Decker Bus Tour (Empire State Building, Macy’s Area for sightseeing, shopping, etc.)

                        Double Decker Bus Tour Hop on/Hop off – ESB, Macy’s, Lunch on your own

3:30 p.m.        Return to Westin Hotel

Rest/Dinner on Your Own/Get Dressed for Van Gogh Exhibit or PASS OVER Play.

6:30 p.m.        Van Gogh Exhibit (60 – 75 minutes) 

Pier 36, 299 South St., New York, NY 10002

               or 

August Wilson Theatre (75 - 80 minutes)

245 West 52 Street, New York, NY 10002

9:30 p.m.        Return to Westin Hotel

                       Stay in the area with Chaperone until curfew

11:00p.m.       *CURFEW* LIGHTS OUT/ROOM CHECK 

Day Five: Friday, August 13, 2021

9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  Breakfast on your own 

(Bellperson will pick up bags from your room between 11 and 12. 

Place your bag(s) by the door and keep any personal items with you. 

Do not leave your room until your bag is picked up.  Do not tip the bell person; we have already paid for this service.  Keep in mind whatever you will be with you until you get on the bus for home—travel light.)  

Noon Hotel check-out (Give your room key to your assigned chaperone in the lobby)

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tour Rockefeller Center Area (NBC, Skating rink, Shopping

30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY.

Meet for Group Picture above the skating rink 

3:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Return to the hotel to prepare for departure 

(UMD bus should arrive at the hotel by 4:00 pm)

4:30 p.m. Depart NYC for College Park, MD

6:30-6:45 p.m. Rest stop (Delaware)
Please call your ride before we get to College Park. The office will not open for you to wait.  Good idea to call with our E.T.A. and again when the bus passes Baltimore to confirm our arrival time.  

9:00  p.m. Arrive Regents Garage,  College Park
